Welcome to the 2007 edition of the Pacific Coast Championships. This event has long been known for its friendly rivalries, fierce competition, and well deserved annual bragging rights. This year will be no exception.

Venue

The 2007 PCC regatta venue is Treasure Island which lies in the middle of the San Francisco Bay. It is easily accessible from any direction and only a few minutes drive from the San Francisco International Airport(SFO) or Oakland International Airport(OAK). This man-made island was first created using the sediment dredged from the bottom of the bay and the Sacramento River. Sailing the Bay

The San Francisco Bay itself is internationally renowned as a world class sailing destination. The heavy currents, wicked chop, and a steady summer breeze are sure to challenge all participants. San Francisco is known for its microclimate. Unlike the nearby San Joaquin Valley, this area remains a very moderate temperature in the summer. Typically August days give way to a reliable steady evening breeze that builds until shortly after sunset.
